Get Pumped for the Best Local Pumpkin Patches!
The air is brisk, the fall crops are coming off the fields, and the unmistakable scent of pumpkin spice everything is beginning its annual invasion of our senses. Fall is here, and one of the most enduring family traditions for many is the annual trek to a pumpkin patch to find the perfect specimens to be turned into frightful jack-o’-lanterns. If you live near London, Ontario, you are lucky to have your choice of fantastic pumpkin patches to choose from. Whether you like to pick your own or take advantage of a ready-to-go pumpkin, there is something for you! Read on for our four favourite pumpkin patch picks within a half hour drive of London.
Kustermans Family Farm
Kustermans is the place to be on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in October! There is something here for everyone, from rambunctious toddlers to moody teens! Located between London and Strathroy, Kustermans offers over two dozen attractions including a pumpkin patch, two corn mazes, wagon rides, haunted barn, petting zoo, corn cannons, and so much more! Don’t delay, though! This is a happening place, so if you’d like to enjoy the adventure farm portion, you need to buy tickets in advance. Don’t fret though if all you’re looking for is the perfect pumpkin; tickets to the pumpkin patch can be purchased separately!
Apple Land Station
Apple Land Station is located to the east of London just south of Dundas Street. If you reach Thamesford, you’ve gone too far! This family-friendly orchard features pick your own apples, a corn maze, a massive pumpkin patch, train rides, farm animals, and so much more! Covering 50 acres, it is a great place to let your little monsters run wild! Don’t forget to bring a wagon or stroller for the littler ones. The wheeled transportation can also double for pumpkin duty if needed!
Ferguson Berries and Vegetables
Ferguson Berries and Vegetables is a prime location to go for all of your pumpkin needs! Located on Wellington Road just north of St. Thomas, Ferguson’s Scarecrow Festival runs every weekend in October. Take your choice of pre-picked pumpkins or strike out and find your own still in the field! There are plenty of decorations to be seen as well, like ghosts dancing around cornstalks, painted pumpkins, and other seasonal decorations! If you have some time to spare, you might consider getting lost in the corn maze. Once you find your way back, don’t forget to check out the beautiful porch kits on offer to help your house give off those Autumn vibes!
Clovermead Adventure Farm
Clovermead Adventure Farm is located just to the north of Aylmer and features a month-long Pumpkin Festival every Saturday in October, as well as Thanksgiving Monday, each year. You can launch walnuts from a mini-blaster or a giant slingshot, take a ride on a wagon or the bee train, visit farm animals, get lost in the corn maze, and enjoy the fall decorations and family photo spots. There are also the Pumpkin Rolling Show and the Pumpkin Cannon Show to take in! For those not afraid to get down and dirty, there is also a 1-acre pick-your own pumpkin patch!

Casey Kiekens and I closed on our next project today, which makes today even more special. Wouldn’t be here if I didn’t quit the booze, I know that for a fact.
Finished meetings at 10pm, picked up the keys and ran over to look at the pile of 💩 we bought 😂
Life’s not perfect. Even 8 years sober has been a roller coaster and has had incredible challenges. I don’t talk about it publicly besides this day once a year really… but always an open book and happy to talk privately or share. I’ve made mistakes, but we learn everyday and hopefully improve. Being open about my challenges with alcohol in the past was hard. After a while the people that made it that way simmer out of your life. It gets easier. One day at a time! Always happy to chat to the folks who could use it. You know who you are. 🤗

A lot of folks called me crazy for driving with two young ones (mostly Casey), considering the cost to fly being fairly reasonable, especially if timed well. I considered it a rite of passage. ✅

All jokes aside… it’s not that bad. Primary driver needs a good 2-3 hour rest midway then finishes the drive. Pre plan your stops so you don’t waste time pulling into a complete dump (no pun intended) to use the facilities. Get a good nights rest before you go and avoid Atlanta anyway possible although it isn’t possible so suffer through it like the rest of us.

Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be running 5km and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community.
@37frankyouthcafe is an absolute pillar in our community. The support they provide to youth is an incredible service. Being 3 doors down, my office sits steps away from their facility and I see daily the impact they make and it is HUGE.

I wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who jumped in to help out at the third annual Christmas At Playmore. There were a bunch of nominations over the last month and the hardest part each year is not being able to do something for everyone. We were able to make a massive impact in two really deserving families lives today and for that I’m grateful. 🙏
The two lovely humans and their family chosen today ended up receiving $500 EACH to Playmore, $250 to the Superstore EACH, and $50 to both Back Alley Burrito - take out and Cookie Bar. There were tears and hugs and big smiles and I’m so thankful for the love and support of the people in my world who so willingly jumped to support without question or expectation.

Congratulations to my clients on a quick and successful sale just in time for the holidays… this one felt good!
These folks had met with another agent who’d recommended they list $50,000 less and not do anything because “you won’t get anymore money”….
When we sat down I laid out a plan with partners I have across different industries to help them prepare their home. With a small investment and in days we were able to make this place shine 10X better. Some junk removal and decluttering, a day with a tractor, bush-hog and my father in laws skid steer plus some elbow grease, and we were easily able to get these folks well over what this other agent had said “won’t be worth your time”.
Truth be told there are levels to this. A lot of agents don’t want to do the work. They don’t have the connections, drive, experience or knowledge.
Grateful I could help my lovely client move onto her next stage of life with more money in her pocket and provide a stress free experience resulting in a much better outcome for her.

2023! What a year! We’ve got 33 days until Christmas and 40 days until 2024. Longer post but want to show some love and gratitude this Christmas as we have each year, so bare with me. 🤗
I’m so grateful for all of my family, friends, business partners, and the folks who trust me to help them with their Real Estate needs. Real Estate can be a bit of a polarizing topic with interest rates really impacting families and home values swaying. I’m committed to my career and providing great service. Family, my community, and taking this role seriously are foundational and very important to me.
I’ll be the first to admit Christmas isn’t a time I do well at. I’ve always found the material aspect of it difficult to swallow. I spend a lot of time away from my family and all I want is quality time with them where I they’ve got my undivided attention.
We’re fortunate we can provide and have a “fulfilling” Christmas but I am very aware not everyone’s in that position and couldn’t imagine having to do something like decide between paying my mortgage or rent or grocery bill, or getting my child a gift they’ve asked for or I know they’d appreciate.

Let’s talk about insurance claims for a minute and a recent client experience…
We’ve had A LOT of rain recently. Some areas like Glencoe and West Lorne experienced amounts they’ve not seen in years.
My sellers called me to evaluate their property to prepare for sale after the recent downpours and had about 2” of water and sewage backup in their basement. The house is located higher up in the area and is graded well. A freak occurrence some might say.
Insurance sent a company to remediate and remove drywall and trim. There is still existing flooring and a shower stall that they intended to make their clients keep.
When I met my sellers, I told them to push back. The floors and shower stall should be replaced as well. Long story short, insurance sent someone back and confirmed these things also needed replacing.
HUGE WIN. My clients now get new floors, drywall, trim, doors, and a bathroom, instead of simply replacing the 2’ of drywall cutout. That’s a newly finished basement! 🥳
Insurance companies need to keep claims at a minimum to remain profitable, unfortunately to the detriment of their clients.
The moral of the story: There’s no harm in asking! Push back!!! The worst they can say is NO!
